Master the world of Observability. Build prototypes, solve real-world industrial challenges, and showcase your skills to global leaders.

Objectives

What Participants Are Expected To Do

  • 1. Register individually or as a team (up to 4 members) - registration is mandatory to participate
  • 2. Define a clear idea within a chosen problem domain aligned with observability
  • 3. Apply observability principles to a real or simulated challenge
  • 4. Build a prototype or working demonstration
  • 5. Explain the impact through documentation and a short video as part of idea submission
There are no predefined metrics or mandatory signals. Teams decide what data and insights matter. Evaluation focuses on creativity, technical depth, and relevance to observability concepts.
Post Registration: Students will receive detailed submission guidelines on their registered email ID, including instructions for uploading the required documents and video.

Hackathon Schedule & Milestones

Registration Opens
1 January 2026

Students must complete registration to be eligible for idea submission. Submission instructions will be shared via email after registration.

Idea Submission Window
1 January - 28 January 2026

Registered teams submit their idea, supporting documentation, and short video as per the guidelines shared over email.

Results Announcement
By 10 February 2026

Shortlisted teams will be notified via email and invited to showcase their work at Automate 2026.

Edge Monitoring for Factory Machinery

Explore how observability applies to physical machines or simulations. Detect patterns, deviations, and factory inefficiencies.

Track B

Observability for LLM Applications

Define observability strategies for Large Language Models. Focus on latency, token usage, and contextual drift.

Participation Guidelines

  • Teams may consist of individual participants or up to 4 team members
  • Cross-college and cross-discipline teams are allowed
  • All work must be original and developed by the team during the hackathon period
  • Students can submit their existing work if it relates to the theme
  • Use of open-source tools and frameworks is encouraged
  • Participants should not infringe on third-party intellectual property
